Chemifarm was founded
Chemifarm was founded in 1984 as a small local company mainly dedicated to the commercialization of chemical reagents and materials for laboratories. In a few years, thanks to the entrepreneurial ability of the founder, it became a reference point for, and not just, many local realities with regard to the distribution and assistance of the most important manufacturers of instrumentation and analysis equipment and producers of reagents and materials for laboratories.
First company expansion
The rapid growth of the company, driven by the credibility recognized by the market and customer loyalty, drives to the first relocation of the company headquarters.
First UNI EN ISO 9001 certification
Driven by the customer service, the need of a careful organization and of standard processes led the company, in 1999, to certify the management system according to the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard.
Chemifarm moves to the present location
The constant growth and success on the market made it necessary to move to the current site; here the offices and the large sized warehouse are located, with the possibility of logistic services for customers and the Centro Lab Chemifarm division, dedicated to the production of standards, titrated solutions and instruments calibration.
First accreditation
In 2005 - the first in Italy in its business fields - Chemifarm obtains the accreditation, according to UNI EN ISO / IEC 17025 issued by Accredia, for the calibration of instruments (UNI EN ISO IEC 17025: 2005) and for the production of reference materials (ISO Guide 34). In the same year Chemifarm opens the LAT Center N. 186 for the calibration of instruments and the production of certified reference materials (CRM).
Generational change in the management of the company
After 32 years of constant growth and successes on the market, the founder's commitment and foresight are enriched by the long experience accumulated "both IN and OUT" of the company by the new generation which guarantees business continuity dressed in a new dynamism.
Chemifarm officially becomes RMP N. 186
The upgrade of ISO Guide 34 to UNI standard makes the accreditation of the production laboratory of certified reference materials self-supporting. CHEMIFARM holds two autonomous accredited centres: the LAT Center N. 186 and the RMP N. 186.
Chemifarm is the first RMP in Europe to produce CRM up to 0.9 μS/cm (and RM at 0.6 μS/cm)
With the extension of the 186R Accreditation Table to the low and high conductivity scale, Chemifarm is the only center in Europe capable of producing synthetic materials in solution at such low electrolytic conductivity values (0.6 μS/cm).

YOUR LABORATORY FROM A TO Z
Production
In the RMP N. 186, the only centre in Europe capable of producing synthetic reference materials in solution up to a lower limit value of electrolytic conductivity of 0.6 µS/cm, we produce certified reference materials and ISO 9001 referable materials, at customer’s request too.

Calibration
In the LAT Center N. 186 we perform accredited calibrations of pHmeters, conductivity meters and refractometers and also the calibration of a wide range of instruments with the emission of referable reports.

Laboratory Design and set-up
We design and supply laboratories complete with furnishings and instruments for all sectors. The know-how and consolidated experience of our staff guarantee the choice of the best design solutions. The recent introduction of the B-LAB line, modules and prefabricated structures for laboratories, completes the solutions available today.
